$5,000 bail for two

Magistrate Krisite Cuffy-Sargeant today imposed a number of conditions on two St Michael men accused of a 2018 offence.

Rodney Orlando O’Neal Brathwaite, 27, of Hurley’s Land, Fairfield and Jason Grenville Forrester, 35, of Great House Road, Grazettes are accused of unlawfully wounding McNeil Sandiford on August 25, 2018 with intent to maim, disfigure or disable him or to do him some serious bodily harm.

The two were not required to plea to the indictable charge when they appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant with their legal counsel Rashida Belgrave today.

There were no objections to bail from the police prosecutor who asked that conditions be imposed on the accused.

The duo must now report to the Black Rock Police Station every Wednesday before noon with valid identification and to stay away from Sandiford until the matter is adjudicated.

The two who were granted $5,000 bail each will next reappear in the No. 2 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on October 23.
