Theft accused remanded

It took a 60-year-old convict just a little over two weeks to run afoul of the law and return to HMP Dodds on remand.

When Anthony Randolph Thorpe, of Derricks, St James appeared before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant late last month he was sentenced to time served on a theft charge.

He returned before the same magistrate today however charged with stealing a bottle of whiskey worth $147.85 on May 10 and two bottles of Baileys worth $167.80 on May 14 property of R.L. Seale Limited trading as People’s Market.

The accused returns before the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on June 12 for sentencing after the facts of his crimes are detailed.
