Court Man fined for drugs he found in a ‘track’ Barbados Today31/05/20190167 views A 47-year-old man has three months in which to pay the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ court $500. The fine, which carried a six-month prison term as an alternate sentence, was imposed yesterday on Rawle Lynderson Padmore, of no fixed place of abode. He had pleaded guilty to possession, trafficking and supply of 25 grammes of cannabis. Station Sergeant Peter Barrow told Chief Magistrate Christopher Birch that police were conducting operations along Pool Land, No 1 St John on April 15 when they saw Padmore throwing away a bag before running off into a bushy area. He was pursued, apprehended and taken back to the bag’s location. “I find that marijuana through a track this morning and I had it to sell off,” Parmore allegedly told police when asked to account for the compressed substance. The fine was imposed for the trafficking charge and he was convicted, reprimanded and discharged for the other two offences.
