Youngsters charged with indictable offences

Two young men charged in connection with a number of criminal matters are now on remand at Her Majesty’s Prison Dodds.

They are, Tyrese Devonish, 19, of Warners Park, Christ Church and Brandon Devonish, 18, of Eastlyn, St George.

The teenagers are accused of committing the following offences in the District ‘B’ Jurisdiction on March 1 – using a firearm without a valid licence to do so; having possession of two firearms without the valid licences to do so; damaged a motor car belonging to Rashawn Moore and two motor cars belonging to Nicholas Forde; discharged a firearm at Adams Castle Hill, a public place, in a manner which placed Lisa Layne, Merisa Jackson and Xenico Moore in danger of death or serious bodily harm.

The accused are further charged that on February 25 in the Oistins District ‘B’ jurisdiction they discharged a firearm at Vauxhall Road, a public place, which placed Reco St Hill in danger of death or serious bodily harm.

They appeared before Magistrate Elwood Watts in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court today and were not required to plead to the indictable offences.

The two are expected to appear at the District ‘B’ Court on Tuesday, March 17 in relation to charges which occurred in that jurisdiction.

Their next court date before Magistrate Watts is Monday, April 6.
