Son accused of assaulting his mom

Outfitted in masks in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic two officers escorted a farmer who allegedly assaulted his mother to the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court.

And now the accused, 32-year-old Anthony Omar Stuart, of Redman’s Village, St Thomas has been warned to stay away from his mother until the case is adjudicated.

Stuart is accused of committing the offence – pelting a rock – against Beverley Stuart on March 22.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared before Magistrate Elwood Watts today.

With no objections to bail the case against him was adjourned for the District ‘D’ Magistrates’ Court on October 12.

He is on $1,000 bail in the meantime.
