Threats land Cox in court

A 63-year-old retiree who appeared on a criminal charge in the District ‘D’ Magistrates’ Court recently is on $2,500 bail.

It is alleged that Andrew Fabian O’Neal Cox, of Lot 1 Rock Hall, St George issued the threatening words, “If you come downstairs I would lash you in you head with this hammer and would go down to the hardware store in Charles Rowe Bridge and buy a Collins and cut you up with it.” The threat was allegedly uttered to Velda Harewood on May 2.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge before Chief Magistrate Ian Weeks yesterday.

The case against Cox will continue in the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court on May 20.
