Nasa astronauts make history with SpaceX launch

SpaceX made history on Saturday after its Crew Dragon spacecraft lifted off for the International Space Station (ISS).

The launch, a partnership with NASA, is the first time a privately built spacecraft carried astronauts into orbit.

The Falcon 9 rocket, which detached from the spacecraft after expending its fuel, was also confirmed to have successfully landed on a drone ship in the ocean.

The successful landing of the Falcon 9 also marks the first time the reusable rocket has carried humans into orbit.
