Breakthrough in homicide investigation

A joint criminal investigation, conducted by the Major Crime Unit and personnel attached to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Black Rock Police Station, has resulted in a breakthrough in the investigation of the homicide of Rondell Alexander who was shot and killed on Friday, December 13, 2019.

Charged with the offence of murder is Trauson Romario Roger Alleyne, 21, of Morris Gap, Westbury Road, St Michael.

Earlier today Alleyne appeared at the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes.

He was not required to plead to the offence and was remanded into custody to HMP Dodds.

Alleyne is scheduled to reappear in court on Thursday, July 9.
