For the second straight day, the Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) has issued a dust haze advisory for the island.

The BMS says a significant plume of Saharan Dust is expected to move across the region and will affect the island and the marine area from tonight and into tomorrow June 19th.

The BMS has advised persons with respiratory issues/allergies to travel with or have close at hand all medications in case of an emergency.

It has also urged marine users to stay close to shore particularly if GPS is not in use on vessel.
