Barbados begins three days of mourning on Monday

Barbados will begin three days of national mourning starting today, Monday, July 27, due to the passing of Former Prime Minister Owen Arthur, a Government statement has said.

Arthur, the island’s longest serving leader, died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital at 12:26 a.m.

“All flags will be flown at half mast,” the statement added.
