Integrity in Public Life Bill defeated

The Integrity in Public Life Bill 2020 was defeated in The Senate today.

Clerk of Parliament Pedro Eastmond read the results: 10 senators voted in favour two abstained.

The constitution mandates a two thirds majority in order for the bill to be passed which equates to 14 votes.
