Woman, 30, is country’s latest COVID-19 patient

A 30-year-old woman is the latest person to be diagnosed with COVID-19 in Barbados.

Identified through contact tracing, the Barbadian woman is now a patient at the isolation facility at Harrison Point, St. Lucy, where three people will be discharged today after recovering from the viral illness.

These developments reduced the numbers in isolation to seven and increased recoveries to 182. The tally of cases recorded in Barbados since March is 196.

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory conducted 252 tests yesterday, bringing the total number completed to 24,360.
