Man pleads guilty to having bullets

St Michael man Andre Omar Burgess has admitted to possession of two rounds of .45 calibre ammunition.

The Baycroft New Road, Bridge Road, St Michael resident pleaded guilty in the High Court today to the September 29, 2019 charge of having the bullets in his possession when he did not have a valid licence.

Burgess, 37, who has Shadia Simpson as his defence counsel, will reappear before Justice Randall Worrel in the No. 2 Supreme Court on Thursday November, 19 when Crown Counsel Ramario Straker will read the facts of his case into evidence.

In the meantime, the judge offered Burgess bail in the sum of $5 000 after the Crown put forward no objection.

However, he will now have to abide by a 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily curfew, surrender his travel documents to the court by November 20 and report to the District ‘A’ Police Station every Monday by 10 a.m.
