Workers unite to demand outstanding payments

Former workers of Accra Beach Hotel, Savannah Beach Hotel and the Barbados Hilton teamed up this morning to demand outstanding severance payments and other entitlements

With placards in hand, the tourism workers lined the pavement just outside Accra Beach, Rockley, Christ Church in protest.

Opposition Leader Bishop Joseph Atherley was on the scene and chatted with the workers.

Prime Minister Mia Mottley pledged Monday during her Independence Address that the National Insurance Scheme will pay the workers and later recoup the funds from employers.
