Local News News Some public officers to work from home Barbados Today03/01/20211175 views Public officers who can work from home will again be allowed to do so. Attorney General Dale Marshall said details on this work arrangement will be “fleshed out” with the Head of the Public Service and the permanent secretaries when they meet on Monday. Mr. Marshall made the comments today at a press conference to discuss the recent developments involving officials of the security force, who recently attended a bus crawl, which has now been deemed a super spreader event, as over 150 persons have now tested positive for COVID-19. “This meeting will determine specifically which public servants will work from home, and which will come in, and this will be communicated to the members of the public service by your respective permanent secretaries. This (work arrangement) is not new; this worked for us very well during the last shutdown,” he stated. The Attorney General added that the Prime Minister would engage with the Head of the Private Sector to ask the private sector to facilitate those employees who can work from home, where it is possible for them to do so.
