COVID-19 UPDATE: 23 new cases, 30 recovered

There were 23 new positive cases of COVID-19 on Friday, and 30 persons will be released from isolation today.

The new cases – 11 women and 12 men – were among 1,400 tests carried out by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory, and represent results for both locals and visitors.

There are now 428 persons remaining in isolation.  Barbados has recorded 808 confirmed cases to date, 347 females and 461 males, and 373 persons have recovered.

The public health laboratory has completed 81,888 tests. (BGIS)
