DLP retracts candidates list issued to the media

The Democratic Labour Party has withdrawn a statement outlining a list of candidates for the next General Election issued this late last night quoting President Verla De Peiza.
In a later statement the party acknowledged that it was the source of the press release but said it had to “retract”.

Below is the full statement: “The Democratic Labour Party wishes to retract a statement which was circulated last night stating our list of potential candidates for the next General Election.

“The party respects the integrity and selection process of its candidates and would never interfere with that hallowed procedure which has served us well from our establishment as a party.
“The Democratic Labour Party will announce a full statement about our full slate  of candidates at a later date.” (PR)
