BDF troops get special treat

Personnel from the Barbados Defence Force distributing Government’s care packages recently got a special treat.

Managing Director of Operations at Sky Mall Everick Eastmond in collaboration with Haigh Communications gave the troops on the ground their own care packages.

The packages included power aid drinks, juices, protein bars, nuts, plantain chips and bottled water.

Eastmond said Skymall was happy to be part of the venture.

“ We will always do what we can to help. At the moment the mall is closed with the exception of the supermarket but we are also exploring how we can assist in the efforts of the vaccination process.”

Chief Executive Officer of Haigh Communications Joy-Ann Haigh said: “We felt it was equally important to help those who are up and down in this hot sun trying hard to make sure that the Care Packs are delivered to those who are in need of them. We appreciate their service and it is a token of our appreciation to the hard work of the men and women of the BDF”

Haigh added that her company would continue to reach out to corporate Barbados in an effort to facilitate the spirit of helping as “we are all in this together.”
