Barbados Coast Guard protecting public health

The Barbados Coast Guard (BCG) deployed its offshore patrol vessel, HMBS LEONARD C BANFIELD and its interceptor vessel in support of the Barbados Port Authority to conduct mandatory protocols of a foreign vessel entering the island. The vessel, a Brazilian yacht, reported to experience mechanical difficulties off of Carlisle Bay.

The BCG remains committed in its duty to protect and safeguard Barbados’ territorial waters for all Barbadians and its visitors. (PR)
