Focus News East Point Productions creates history Barbados Today17/04/20210233 views Last Sunday when most of the country was experiencing ashfall, East Point Productions Inc. was actively facilitating the first-ever online acoustic guitar and electric bass examinations for the London College of Music. Established in 1877, the London College of Music Examinations (LCME) is one of the longest-established exam boards for the creative arts in the UK. The examinations are facilitated by East Point Productions Inc, a creative arts company led by musician & vocalist Kellie Cadogan. The guitar & bass students who made history were prepared by tutor extraordinaire and musician Richard “Bill” Evans. Evans was able to secure accredited certification for his private students by getting on board with East Point Productions and entering 15 students for the examinations – all of whom passed with merits and distinctions. The students who successfully completed the historic acoustic guitar and electric bass examinations are Zenobia Walcott, Amelio Walton- Belgrave, Makayla Murrell, Caitlyn Harewood, Sincere Springer, Alyssa Alleyne, Charles Leslie, Waynelle Collymore-Taylor, Jonathan Rouse, Anaya Shepherd, Xavier King, Daniel Best, Joshua Yearwood, Darien Benn and Ethan Ellis. The Barbados LCM representative highlighted that: “LCM exams provide a wide range of subjects for music examinations from as early as 3 years old to the mature adult, from wind instruments (including voice), string, percussion instruments. It’s an accredited body, it’s comprehensive, comfortable, it’s diverse and best of all it is digital.” To learn more about how you can get yourself, school, group or program making history and breaking new ground visit www. eastpointproductions.com.
