COVID-19 UPDATE: Six new cases, 58 in isolation

Six new positive cases of COVID-19, two females and four males, were reported by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Friday, May 21.

They were identified from among the 595 tests conducted.  As a result, there are now 58 people in isolation.

Barbados has recorded 3,991confirmed cases of COVID-19 (1,931 females and 2,060 males) since the start of the pandemic, and there have been 47 deaths.

The public health laboratory has, to date, carried out 165,731 tests.

Under the National Vaccination Programme 52,880 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. They are among 76,336 individuals who have been immunised during the first and second phases of the programme. (BGIS)
