COVID-19 UPDATE: 3 new cases, 50 in isolation

Three new positive cases of COVID-19 – one male and two females – were recorded on Sunday, May 23, from the 360 tests carried out by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

There are currently 50 people in isolation.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is 3,998 (1,933 females and 2,065 males). The death toll from the virus is 47.

The public health laboratory has conducted 166,597 tests, to date.

Since February this year, 76,404 people have been immunised, with 54,928 of them being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 during the second phase of the National Vaccination Programme. (BGIS/MOH)
