Over the last few hours, winds of up to 90mph (144km/h) with higher gusts were recorded across the island. Elsa is currently moving towards the west-northwest (290 degrees) at 28 MPH (44 KM/H). This motion is expected to continue during the next few days. Hurricane Elsa passed south of the island a few hours ago.
