COVID-19 UPDATE: 10 new cases, 93 in isolation

Ten new cases of COVID-19, five males and five females, have been identified by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. The facility conducted 1,428 tests on Wednesday, August 4.
There are 93 people in insolation.
To date, 100,091 first doses have been administered under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19; while 76,965 persons (28.4 per cent of the population) have received their second dose and are fully vaccinated.
Since March 2020, the island has recorded 4,443 confirmed cases (2,158 females, 2,285 males) of the viral illness, and 48 deaths.
A total of 224,225 tests have been carried out by the laboratory since February last year. (BGIS)
