‘Lord Evil’ and co-accused convicted of gun charges

BT Court

Three St Lucy men, including Andre Omar ‘Lord Evil’ Jackman, have been found guilty of having an illegal firearm almost three years ago but will have to wait another two months to be sentenced.

After deliberating for almost three hours in the No. 3 Supreme Court, the nine-member jury returned the guilty verdicts on all counts.

The 43-year-old Jackman, Kaeron Sylvian Moore, 35, of Stroud Bay and 29-year-old Shane Hakeem Omar Babb of Crab Hill, were also found guilty of unlawfully and recklessly engaging in conduct that placed Reshawn Greaves and Michael Abbott in danger of death or serious bodily harm on September 30, 2018.

Additionally, Moore and Babb were also found guilty of damaging a house belonging to Chrisandra Greaves.

The offences stemmed from a shooting incident in St Lucy.

Moments after the guilty verdicts were delivered, Justice Carlisle Greaves revoked bail for Moore and Babb and remanded them to Dodds.

All three will be sentenced on October 8.

Queen’s Counsel Michael Lashley represented Jackman, while Moore and Babb were represented by attorneys-at-law Shadia Simpson and Verla De Peiza respectively.

Senior Crown Counsel Neville Watson and Acting Crown Counsel Rudolph Burnett appeared for the Crown.
