Barbados’ first High Commissioner to Kenya accredited

William Alexander McDonald has been accredited as Barbados’ High Commissioner to the Republic of Kenya.

McDonald presented his credentials, accrediting him as High Commissioner of the Government of Barbados to the Republic of Kenya, to President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday, September 1, at State House, Nairobi, Kenya.  He will be based in Kenya.

High Commissioner McDonald, who is also the Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office in Nairobi, stated that he is looking forward to further strengthening the relations between Nairobi and Bridgetown.

President Kenyatta told McDonald, along with eight other envoys, who presented their credentials: “I look forward to working closely with you as you discharge your mandate.”

The other eight diplomats presenting credentials were from Nigeria, Ghana, Saudi Arabia, Belgium, Slovakia, the European Union, Finland, and Norway.  (BGIS)
