Two more Barbadians succumb to COVID-19, death toll moves to 88

 

COVID-19 claimed the lives of two Barbadians early this morning.

A 78-year-old woman died as a result of the viral illness after spending three days in primary isolation at the Harrison Point Isolation Facility.  She had pre-existing conditions and was unvaccinated.

Additionally, a 36-year-old man succumbed to the virus while in primary isolation at Harrison Point, where he spent 19 days.  He also had pre-existing conditions and was unvaccinated.

The number of deaths from the virus is now 88.

Minister of Health and Wellness Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic has extended condolences to the loved ones of the deceased. (BGIS)
