Pfizer vaccine only being offered to students

The Immunisation Unit has advised that first doses of the Pfizer vaccine are only being offered to students at present.

One of the Coordinators of the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, Major David Clarke, explained that there were only about 1,000 doses of the Pfizer left, and these would be offered to students aged 12 to 18, until the supplies were exhausted.

Those persons who received first doses of the Pfizer are assured that there are enough second doses remaining to complete the regime.

Adults can still access the AstraZeneca and Sinopharm vaccines at any of the vaccination sites. (BGIS)
