Accused admits to assaulting man, damaging items

The facts relating to two offences committed by a St Michael man will be outlined before the High Court when the matters continue on December 3.

Justice Carlisle Greaves gave the adjournment after Sumunguru Mugo Mansa Kan-Kan Moore, of Belleview Gap, Station Hill, St Michael entered guilty pleas during a virtual sitting of the No. 3 Supreme Court this morning.

The judge has ordered a pre-sentencing report on Moore before submissions on sentencing are made before the court.

A victim impact statement has also been ordered along with a record of Moore’s previous convictions and the time he had spent at Dodds, if any, when he was charged.

Moore admitted that he unlawfully and maliciously inflicted serious bodily harm on Shawn Grosvenor on April 8, 2011 in the parish of St Michael.

He further took responsibility for damaging, without lawful authority on the same date, 28 brassiere sets, eight brassieres, 45 pants, 44 shirts, two ladies tops, 10 dresses, 91 panties, nine jackets and one belt belonging to Nulook Boutique intending to damage such property or being reckless as to whether such property would be damaged.
