‘Elsa’ payouts

One of Barbados’ leading insurance companies has revealed that several of its clients whose properties sustained damage during the passage of Hurricane Elsa in July have received their compensation.

Marketing Manager with Cooperators General Insurance, Cheryl Forde, stated: “So far we have paid out over $3 million in claims to our clients who were affected by Hurricane Elsa, and we are still paying our other policyholders who were similarly affected.”

She made this statement as the company presented prizes for the winners in its six-month-long Pot Full of Prizes competition at its Collymore Rock head office.

During the presentation, winners for October and November as well as the Grand Prize winners received their rewards, including discounts on their insurance premiums, vouchers from hardware stores and other retailers, including Carter’s General Stores, JG’s Wholesale, EZ Pave and Trowel Plastics, along with free Multi- Choice Television service packages.

Winners from October included Dave Carter, Alva Ward, and Derwin, and Amaida Greaves, while November’s winners were Brenda Blackman and Tracy Layne.

The Grand Prize winners included Julian Burton, Andrew Jordan, Maresa Holder, Jacqueline Bailey, and Ron Goodridge. (DH)
