Small-Craft Advisory in effect for Barbados

A Small-Craft Advisory is in effect for Barbados for above normal swell heights valid from 6am Wednesday 22nd December and will be terminated at 6am Thursday 23rd December, 2021.

Surface winds of 20 knots across the tropical Atlantic is expected to generate moderate to rough sea swells in open water ranging from 2.0 to 3.0 meters along northern, north-eastern and eastern coast of Barbados.

All marine craft operators and beachgoers should note the following possibilities along the coast and nearshore of this zone, due to the imminent or already occurring marine threat :
Large open water swells can be hazardous to some vessels.
Operation of smaller vessels can be difficult at times due to large swells
