Cleviston Haynes “With this session, we also hope to identify strategies that can encourage the type of multilateralism that will benefit Barbados and other developing nations.” Prime Minister Mottley has called for immediate action in climate change led by larger, more advanced economies, which are both responsible for it and have greater resources to address it, while DirectorGeneral Okonjo-Iweala argues that international cooperation should not be viewed as foreign aid, but rather as a strategic investment that also benefits the nations providing it. “We encourage everyone to tune in to what promises to be a robust and meaningful discussion,” Governor Haynes concluded.
