Sea island cotton harvesters needed

The Barbados Agricultural Management Company Limited (BAMC) is seeking persons to harvest West Indian Sea Island Cotton.

BAMC’s Agronomist, Nyah Nyhathu, indicated that for the month of April, “more workers are needed to complete the harvest”.

Harvesting is currently taking place at Three Houses Farm, St. Philip, where the field is located at “Harrow”, opposite the Bushy Park racetrack; Redland Farm, St. John, where the fields are located at “Edgecliff, and Mount Pleasant Farm, Moncrieffe, St. Philip.

The fields are open from 7:00 a.m. and cotton pickers are advised that harvesting attire must comprise the following: long sleeves, long pants, headgear (hat, scarf, head tie), and fully enclosed shoes. They should also travel with an umbrella and water.
