COVID-19 Update: 113 new cases

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory has identified 113 new COVID-19 cases, 48 females and 65 males, from the 684 tests conducted on Saturday, June 25.

Of the new cases, 18 persons were under the age of 18, and 95 were 18 years and older.

There were 26 people in isolation facilities, while 1,036 were in home isolation.

The number of deaths from the viral illness remains at 473.

The public health laboratory has conducted 702,517 tests since February 2020, and recorded 83,776 COVID-19 cases (38,255 males and 45,521 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 162,555 (71.2 per cent of the eligible population).

The total number of persons who are fully vaccinated is 153,433 (67,264 males and 86,169 females.  This represents 56.6 per cent of the total population or 67.2 per cent of the eligible population.  The eligible population represents those persons who are 12 years and older.
