The CEO explained that the People’s Choice Competition, which replaces Soca Monarch, has been designed to allow as many artistes as possible to get a lucrative payday as opposed to one artiste walking away with a car and a large amount of cash. Chief Executive Officer of Pyramid Entertainment Inc Ruel Ward, President of the Barbados Entertainers’ Association (BEA) Rudy Maloney, and Public Relations Officer of the Creatives and Artistes Barry Knight joined Roberts-Reifer for the announcement of the results which she received from an external provider just before the start of the press conference.
