Combermere Old Scholars staging Music at Sunset

The pulsating sounds of the Barbados Police Service Band will usher in the sunset on October 8th, 2022, as the Combermere School PTA and Combermere School Old Scholars Association stage “Music at Sunset”, a fund-raising gospel concert.

Featuring the songs and diverse music of local, regional, and international gospel musicians, “Music at Sunset” promises to be an evening of relaxation, entertainment and praise. Sharing the stage with the Barbados Police Service Band will be students, parents, and alumni of the school.

According to event producer Major Patrick Skeete, the concert, which will be held at the Major Noott Hall at the school, will see the likes of a steelpannist, saxophonist, violist and a number of soloists, in an amazing blend of local talent.

“There is a cross- section of musicians who will bridge genres of gospel to deliver a very entertaining experience,” said Major Skeete.

The Combermere School, which is the longest serving secondary school in Barbados, will be celebrating its 327th year of existence this year. All proceeds from the concert will be in aid of teaching resources for the school. For more information on the concert, please email cspta@combermere.edu.bb or contact Major Patrick Skeete at 239-3689 or Stacia Armstrong at 259-0030. (PR)
