Ghanaian nurses arrive in Barbados

More than 100 nurses from the Republic of Ghana arrived in Barbados this morning on a two-year assignment, aimed at boosting the nursing complement in the public health sector.

The nurses, who will be attached to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the Geriatric Hospital, the Psychiatric Hospital and the island’s polyclinics, were greeted on arrival by an entourage led by Executive Chairman of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Juliette Bynoe-Sutherland and other key officials.

More than 100 nurses arrive at the GAIA this morning.
