Moore marketing with a difference

Women’s Entrepreneurship Day recognises and celebrates pioneering women across various entrepreneurial fields annually on November 19.

The Barbados Entrepreneurship Foundation (BEF) wishes to highlight Khiana Moore, one of its many female entrepreneurs who acts as a volunteer. Khiana is the proud owner of Moore Marketing and Advertising, which specialises in graphic design and photography.

Although her company is relatively young, she developed her skills through volunteering which helped her learn various skills that she applied to further develop her business.

These include social media marketing, accounting and management.

Khiana explained: “I specialise in graphic design and photography, two of the ventures I am working on now. The Foundation needed a photographer, and I needed experience, so it was mutually beneficial. Being in an organisation like this allowed me to look at my business and see what areas I could improve on by utilising the knowledge I learnt from the business development courses.”

The first-year student at the Vancouver Animation School is seeking to further her knowledge in animation as this is a service that she is looking to offer to her clients.

“Due to COVID-19, I have been able to study at this institution from the comfort of my home, but I am looking forward to being able to study abroad and apply the principles I have learnt to my business as animation is something that I am interested in offering to my clientele at Moore Advertising,” she said.
