It was a family affair for deputy Commissioner of the Barbados Police Service Ian Branch during the Agrofest 2023 livestock competition.

Branch’s son Dwayne Marshall, grandsons and other relatives were a common feature throughout the various animal shows.

He told Barbados TODAY it was important for the young ones to carry on the family business and bond together.

He added that he was “very proud” to see the level of interest all the youngsters in the family had toward agriculture, noting that seeing them in the ring was also a “touching and moving” experience.

Branch also won the lion’s share of prizes at the annual event capturing more than ten prizes, among them Best Barbados Blackbelly Ewe on Show and Best Barbados Blackbelly Ram on Show.
