Celtic festivities end with concert, parade, party

Bagpipers set the right mood for patrons.

This year’s Barbados Celtic Festival came to a close in fine party-style on Sunday, as the sounds of bagpipers and other musicians from Scotland filled the air during the Final Fling and Caribbean Ceilidh.

The 2023 edition of the festival climaxed at the Barbados Yacht Club, however, throughout the weekend the festivities also included a street parade and a concert at the St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cathedral.

During Saturday’s parade, bagpipes from Ireland, United States, Finland, and other countries lit up the City in what has been a successful return to the celtic festival after an absence during the COVID-19 period.
