Police investigate Christ Church shooting incident

A man is nursing a gunshot injury after being attacked by two assailants in the wee hours of this morning.

According to police, the victim was walking along Worthing, Christ Church when he encountered two males dressed in all black and ski masks.

The masked men pointed a gun at the victim and one shot him in the right thigh. The men then ran off and left the area in a white motor car.

The victim ran to a nearby business and asked for help. He was then transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a private motor car.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Hastings/Worthing Police Station at 430-7608, Police Emergency 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 or the nearest Police Station.
