Workshops being held for exporters

Export Barbados will equip exporters and potential exporters with the knowledge to expand and penetrate markets when it holds two workshops on Wednesday, October 4, and Thursday, October 5.

The first workshop on October 4, entitled Doing Business in North America, takes place at Building No.2, Harbour Road, St. Michael (across from Oran), from 9 am to 1 pm.

It aims to provide valuable insight for businesses interested in exporting to North America or those which are facing challenges in the export process to the USA and Canada.

Presenters from the USA, Canada, the Barbados Customs Division, and Export Barbados’ Certification Unit will share their expertise and knowledge.

The workshop on October 5, entitled Doing Business in Trinidad, will be a webinar, and will take place from 9 am to noon.

It will feature presentations by representatives from the Trinidad Chamber of Commerce, Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards, and a Trinidadian attorney-at-law.

They will discuss topics that offer in-depth insight into the Trinidadian market, highlighting trade opportunities and strategies for entry and growth in that market.

Interested persons must first confirm their attendance and an access link to the “Doing Business in Trinidad Webinar” will be sent to them in advance of the event. To secure a spot for the workshops, persons should email Jalisa Holder at jholder@bidc.org, or call 427-5350 by Monday, October 2.
