CHOPPED

A partial trunk was all that remained this morning of the massive tamarind tree which sunk into a hole that opened up in Bush Hall Yard Gap, St Michael on Monday. Overnight, the tree was “brought down to a manageable level”, chairman of the St Michael North East District Emergency Organisation Peterson Yearwood told Barbados TODAY. The area remains cordoned off and Yearwood urged residents and others not to go beyond the barricade as there is still a lot of work to be done.
