Man injured in The City; a number of persons in custody

Police are conducting investigations into an incident in The City, which resulted in bodily injury to a man in his late 20s.

This occurred sometime shortly before 5:30 Saturday morning at Chancery Lane, Nelson Street.

During this incident, a male was reported to have suffered from injuries suspected to be slash wounds or cuts, police said in a news release.

The victim was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.

Officers are in the process of conducting investigations and will continue to monitor the progress of the victim.

There are currently a number persons in custody assisting with investigations, police said in the release.
