It’s the season of giving back and spreading cheer and the Eden Lodge and Sandy Lane Charitable Trusts have kickstarted their annual Christmas Give Back programme under which various gifts were distributed to children on Thursday.

The Give Back initiative, a collaboration between the two charitable organisations, aims to bring joy and smiles to children throughout the festive season.

Pippa Challis, trustee of the Sandy Lane Charitable Trust, noted the importance of such endeavours in fostering community spirit.

“Christmas is a wonderful time of year for not only children but also families. It is all about family. We just try and give a little bit of joy at this time as it is a difficult time,” she said. “We are thrilled to be part of this initiative to spread the cheer.”

Volunteers from both the Eden Lodge Youth Charitable Trust and the Sandy Lane Charitable Trust presented a range of gifts – from toys and games to educational materials – with the aim of creating lasting memories for the young recipients.

Both trusts reaffirmed their commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need, especially during the holiday season.
