21 new COVID-19 cases; no deaths

There were 21 new COVID-19 cases but no deaths were recorded over the one-month period just before Christmas, according to the latest statistics provided by the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

Of the 333 test results received from November 25 to December 22, 2023, there were 21 positives, one of which was in a person under the age of 18. Since COVID-19 was first confirmed in Barbados in March 2020, there have been 110 298 cases – up to December 22, 2023 –, 648 of which resulted in death.
