Town hall meeting on draft Tourist Accommodation Bill

Stakeholders in the tourism accommodation sector are being encouraged to attend a town hall meeting tomorrow, Friday, January 19, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, to discuss the draft Tourist Accommodation Bill.

A presentation on the draft Bill will be made during the meeting, which will be hosted by the Barbados Tourism Product Authority.

The Bill is aimed at strengthening the current quality assurance standards in the accommodation sector. The proposed regulations will also ensure an accurate tourist accommodation room count for marketing the destination.
