bust of Barbados’ first Olympic medalist James ‘Jim’ Wedderburn now takes pride of place at the Barbados Olympic Association (BOA) Museum. It was unveiled today at a brief ceremony attended by Wedderburn, who won a bronze medal as part of the British West Indies 1 600-metre relay team at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, Italy. Wedderburn (left) admires the bust which Director of the Caribbean Wax Museum Arthur Edwards (second right) and BOA President Sandra Osbourne (right) seem to be saying is just right.
