No surety, accused remanded

fter no sureties were available to sign bail on his behalf, Andre Ryan O’neal Headley was remanded into custody on criminal damage charges.

The 47-year-old landscaper of Odessa McClean Drive, My Lord’s Hill, St Michael appeared in the No. 2 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Manila Renee and pleaded not guilty to several offences.

These include that on May 12,  he damaged one window and solar light belonging to Darcy Boyce, 12 louvre panes belonging to Chandra Gibson, one window screen belonging to Cherri Collymore, three windows belonging to Keith Brathwaite and one window belonging to Peter Wint.

Prosecutor Constable Richard Ellis did not object to bail once there was a suitable surety.

Headley informed the court that someone was on the way to sign bail for him. However, by the end of the sitting, no one had turned up and the accused was remanded until June 3.
