Rain forces no result between England and Scotland

England were set to chase 109 to win their weather-affected ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup match against Scotland under the Duckworth/Lewis/Stern Method this afternoon at Kensington Oval – but the match ended in a no-result because of rain.

George Munsey, not out on 41, and fellow opener Michael Jones, not out on 45, defied a delayed start and a lengthy weather interruption and shared an unbroken first wicket stand that carried Scotland to 90 without loss after the match was reduced to 10 overs-a-side.

Another downpour of rain after the Scotland innings came to a close forced umpires Asif Yacoob of Pakistan and Nitin Menon of India to abandon the remaining play.

Summarised scores
:
SCOTLAND 90 without loss off 10 overs (Michael Jones 45 not out, George Munsey 41 not out) vs ENGLAND.
